I made this a few year back, probably 2014 or 15. I had an idea that an ailurophile’s mind or cat-lover’s brain could look a lot like a cat snoozing. I roughly drew out the idea then started messing with air drying clay, which i found was much easier to get the correct shapes and depths I was hoping for.
I was pleased to find that the cat anatomy mirrored (roughly) the brain lobes 🙂 Also that the vertebrae of the spine was easily represented by a stripy tail. I didn’t think the end result was ‘all that’ but really please to have the idea manifest beyond my own brain and a few people have since commented on it rather favourably, so here it is (resting on top of a green man wall piece I made):
